Thus there is an urgent need for water conservation of our available fresh water resources. The use of the print media, for those who are literate, is also an effective media to get the message of water conservation out in the open and presented to the masses in a convincing manner. Social awareness must be inculcated over a gradual period of time. Hence bringing this message to children, by way of propagating the need for water conservation in schools, will definitely have a positive impact on these children who have an impressionable mind.
There is another very effective method of propagating social awareness about water conservation and that is by roping in celebrities such as film stars or cricketers to support this cause. When these celebrities, who have a certain aura, appeal and respect among the masses support a certain cause, this cause is bound to catch the attention of those who idolize these people.
