Bed bugs the pest

Initially it is of utmost importance to know how the bedbug looks like. At the same time misperceptions in the mind of people related to the bedbugs are necessary to be driven away. The normal misperception is that the bed bugs are invisible. They are large enough to see without any magnification and grow up to one forth centimeter long. They are absolutely round in shape if looked from far of distance, but appear to be more oval upon closer observation than round. Their plague is the conclusion based on all the wrong premises. They are generally found in cool dark places. And when exposed to heat they die fast. They feed on mammal blood especially human blood.

Treating the bugs

Bugs are mostly and commonly found on your mattresses. So spraying them with harmful and toxic liquids or pesticides may be hazardous for you and your pets. Even if it is done so they are going to get back as no spray can be effective than few minutes. There are two products that are effective.
1. Pyrethrin based product, which is very safe for use without harming people and pets. It can be sprayed over the bed and mattresses, cracks and crevices where the young and adults bugs generally hide. Pyrethrin is derived from the plant named chrysanthemum. It provides no real residual, hence it is active when you spray and will kill on contact but within a few hours.
2. Permethrin is another aerosol, which can be applied to these same areas. It has the advantage above the pyrethrin. It leaves the residue wherever it is applied. It also uses pyrethrin as the active pesticides. Though the pyrethrin will dissipate quickly, the permethrin will last for two weeks of residual. This will surely kill the entire bug pest.
