Ladders are useful for taking things that are placed in the unreachable or high areas like the rooftop, loft, beam and so on. Some ladders may only elevate the user a few feet from the ground, while others provide access to a third story roof. There are different types of modern adjustable ladders, which provide everything from scaffolding to painting support. The old wooden ladders can be converted into a shelf. To make a bookshelf two ladders are required. The steps to make the bookshelf is as follows:
1. Measure the height of the room and cut the ladder to the required length using a handsaw.
2. At the end without feet, attach 3-inch L brackets to the ends of all four-ladder rails.
3. The L brackets should be attached on the outside of the rails, but when the ladders are facing each other the brackets point inward towards each other.
4. Space the ladders apart the distance one want for the shelves.
5. Mark where the L bracket touches the ceiling with a pencil and drill a hole in the ceiling.
6. Place a 3-inch molley through the L bracket up into the ceiling and tighten. Repeat this step on the other side and the other ladder.
7. The shelves fit between the rungs of the ladders, placed from one ladder to the other.

Tips To Make A Towel Rack From Ladder

The towel rack made from an old wooden ladder would be an attractive and additional storage for the bathroom or kitchen. The steps to make the rack are given below.

1. Clean the ladder using sand paper and if necessary the ladder can be painted to match the color of the wall in the bathroom or kitchen.
2. Once the paints are dry, attach the L- brackets to the four sides of the ladder and screw in ¼ inch screws using a driller.
3. Place the ladder vertically on the ceiling of the bathroom or the kitchen and install the ladder on stud. If it is a dry wall then use dry wall anchors.
