Safety measures while removing concrete Using shovels for concrete removal may be the construction tool used by most concrete removal contractors or workers but may result in injuries to the back if not used properly. A few clothing and special equipment are also advised when handling concrete removal. Loose clothing is not recommended. Safety goggles and face-masks that will prevent dust inhalation and heavy gloves and appropriate shoes or boots are also to be included in the protective gear to be used by workers and contractors. Homeowners who may be supervising the work are also recommended the use of such protective gear.
