However there is tremendous difference between the game that is played on the competitive level and that played at home for recreation. The ball: The ball is the major accessory of table tennis. It is lightweight, white color small high bouncing hollow celluloid ball. 2. The table: Another most important accessory of the game is table tennis. The table is long, wide, and high with a manufactured timber, layered with a smooth, low-friction coating. The table or playing surface is divided into two halves by a high net. 3. The racket: It is a wooden racket covered with rubber on one or two sides. The rubber may be pimpled rubber. The pimples are outward, that is composed of two materials, a sponge layer, covered by a pimpled rubber. Some rackets are not covered with rubber at all. A naked racket is more resistant to a spin although it is illegal to use in competitions.
